CE Seminar Notice (May) 再教育講座通知(五月)

In May, two English seminars will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2009 from 10:00am to 5:20pm (6 hours) at Room A136a in Langara College, 100 West 49th Avenue, Vancouver. B.K. Singh, R. PROFESSIONAL PROFILE 专家简介
Prof. B.K. Singh, B.Sc., M.B.B.S, D.Ac., Ph.D., D.Litt., D.Sc. is the President and Dean of The International Acupuncture Academy of Bhupendra Techniques, Vancouver, Canada. He is a western trained medical doctor from India and post-graduate Acupuncture specialist with 36 years clinical, teaching, and research experience. He has traveled to over 40 countries to promote Classical Acupuncture, Bhupendra Techniques Acupuncture, and his original health concepts by conducting workshops, seminars, and training and treatment camps. He has been actively involved with many international associations and societies in humanitarian work. He and his thousands of students around the world are helping needy patients during his treatment camps, including the Mother Theresa post-traumatic paraplegia and leprosy home in India. Based on his extensive clinical experience and knowledge of both eastern and western medical philosophies he has developed his own acupuncture techniques for treating chronic patients. Seminar description: Acupuncture can be a great asset in treating many eye problems, especially those which have little or no response in the conventional system of medicine. Unfortunately it has not been a focus for many Acupuncturists. B.K. Singh has treated successfully many patients with several eye problems such as Retinits Pigmentosa, Macular degeneration, Optic Atrophy, Progressive Pathological Myopia, Marginal Squint, Ocular Myopathy, Glaucoma, Dacrocystitis, and Retinal Detachment. This course will familiarize the registrants with the Anatomy, and Physiology of the eye, the Pathogenesis of the disease process, signs and symptoms of specific diseases, and their result oriented acupuncture treatment.

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE 专家简介
Dr. Zhou graduated from Heilongjiang University of TCM in 1982, Master Degree in Shenyang University of Pharmacy in 1988 and PhD in Heilongjiang University of TCM in 2003. From 2005 he started post-doc research in Heilongjiang University of TCM.
From 1989 to 2007, he had further clinical study and practice (dermatology and TCM dermatology) in Harbin Medical University, Hospital of Beijing University, China Medical University, and the 7th People’s Hospital of Shenyang. Heilongjiang TCM Hospital, Beijing TCM Hospital, Beijing Guan An Men Hospital, Beijing Dong Fang Hospital, Shanggang Institute of Dermatology, National Medical Research Centre of UK, etc.
In 1995, he started his clinical practice and research in Vancouver. He practiced in treating skin disease and has successfully treated many patients in his centre. From July 2007, new office address is at #330-2184 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC, Tel: (604) 736-6060.
